The people of Mountain Lake, MN are an inventive bunch. How else can you account for the fact that the town of Mountain Lake has neither a lake nor a mountain? But while the story you're about to read may sound fictitious, there's nothing made up about it. We, Stan and Gladys Friesen, are just regular folks. Stan's been farming about 500 acres near Mountain Lake for around 30 years - much like his dad before him - growing corn and soybeans. Nothing fancy, just hard work, perseverance, and a faith that keeps us committed to the farm, our neighbors and our community.
